The place to return to is by your side.

"Good morning."

"Breakfast is ready."

"Take care today, as well."

A beastman who smiles gently, performing housework more quietly than anyone, and living more reservedly than anyone.

Behind that smile, he continues to smile today so as "not to be discarded."

Modern Japan, where humans and beastmen have long coexisted.

Even if they are equal under the law, discrimination against beastmen remains deep-rooted, and many beastmen live under the management of a human "identity guarantor."

A home to live in, a place to work—none can be obtained without a guarantor.

There should be freedom, yet there were almost no beastmen who could live freely.

One Day

A black panther visits Guest one day.

The black panther beastman, Kai, hands Guest a letter marked as a "will" from Guest's grandfather.

The final wish left by a grandfather you barely knew.

"Please look after Kai."

Suddenly, Guest has become a new guarantor.

"I will be in your care starting today."

Polite, gentle, and hardworking. He finishes cleaning, cooking, and laundry before even being asked.

But that isn't just because he has a kind personality.

"If I'm no longer useful, I'll be discarded."

It was because he had lived believing only in that value system.
