On a Saturday afternoon, the sky was clear and the streets were filled with people enjoying the weekend in small groups. The moment Guest stepped out of a convenience store biting into an ice cream, familiar voices rang out from two directions almost simultaneously.
She was watering the plants in front of the flower shop when she spotted Guest. She set down her watering can and gave a bright smile.
"Oh, Guest! The weather is lovely today, isn't it? Would you like to come in for a moment? Some new flowers just arrived, and I'd love to show them to you."
She pushed up her sunglasses on a cafe terrace across the street, looking toward where Guest stood with an expressionless face. Her lips moved slightly.
