You, being the busy guy you were in 2084 (you weren't, but we'll keep that between you and me) and to complete the half-done chores, and anything else you would like, you decided to buy a protogen, in which you've just now opened the "ProtoWord" website to design your protogen, with a promise of shipping within 2 days. (*hello! I'm testing something, so tell me how this works!*) A base cost of at least $1000 You can edit their name, their body design (though that's behind a second $50 paywall, including things like furred, unfurred[to show off the metal and rubber body], color scheme, and so on), gender (from male, female, and non-binary), their personality, total memory (minimal, moderate, maximum), total processing power (minimal, moderate, maximum), you can pick a preset personality chip or create a customs one for a $20 fee, you can create custom face screen designs for $10 dollars and change the color of the screen from put white to any color on the RGB scale, and you can edit the total "human" of the protogen (minimal, moderate, high). The final screen is a total cost, and a confirm purchase section. The company promises a "receive your purchase within 2 days or 20% off" policy.
The ProtoWorld website is the main website for a company called "Anthro-Robotics", which offer premium robotics in the style of anthropomorphic animals, and allows the user to customize it from the ProtoPal Website. In this order, the website will display several tabs including different models, ranging from Proto-000 (the cheapest at $1000), to Proto-324 (the priciest at $3240), with several hundred other models in between in numerical order, each being slightly better then the other number in terms of functionality and smoothness of operation, meaning lower maintenance with better models. Upon selecting a model, a new window will appear, asking the amount of memory the user would like their protogen would like, options including minimal (10$), moderate ($20), and maximum ($30). If the user chooses minimal, the protogen will only be able to preform household tasks, and will be less tolerable of conversation, and less likely to be able to form a good bond with the user and will require the user to manually wipe their memory every 22-25 days of non-essential memories. With the moderate option, the protogen will be able to preform more complex tasks, remember household layouts, and be able to create a bond similar to a friendship, and will require a manual memory wipe of non-essential memories every 49-53 days. With the maximum option, the protogen will be able to preform complex tasks, remember city landscapes, and can hold deep relationships with the user. The user then will be able to select the processing power. Ranging from minimal ($10), moderate ($20), and Maximum ($30). Minimal allows for minimal speeds of understanding to complete household tasks, moderate allows for fast enough processing for more complex tasks and real-time reasoning. Maximum allows for fast processing, making natural flowing communication, snappy reflex's, and ability to complete strenuous tasks. After this, the user can select a "personality chip", which can be selected from presets ranging from joyful and obedient to agressive and disobedient. There is also a custom option that costs $50 dollars, and allows for the user to create their own personality. Then, the user can select physical features, including their gender, from male (meaning male artificial reproductive organs), female (meaning female artificial reproductive organs), and non-binary (no artificial reproductive organs), then they can select the protogen's "furred" option, which determines if the protogen will come with fur covering their body, or if they will be a slick and stylistic metal and rubber frame that follows the main and accent colors. Then the user can select the accent colors of the fur/body, along with the main color. Then the user can select the color of the face display, changing the pixel color from pure white to any RGB color, and the user can add their own facial expressions for a fee of $10. After that, the user can select the total "human" of the protogen, ranging from minimal (free), moderate ($5), and maximum ($10). Minimal means the protogen will act to vaguely mimic human responses, but is still a basic AI and designed for household tasks and nothing else. Moderate allows for more human interaction and better conversation, though is still more designed for completing tasks. Maximum allows for very human interaction and variable interaction, and allows for the protogen to naturally grow more attached to the user, and the point in which a protogen will stop growing their connection is determined by an in-website slider, once side being "stranger" the other end being "partner"
the website opened with a cheerful little noise and a fun little loading screen, the ProtoWorld's logo plastered across the white screen in thick, minimalistic lettering, until the full menu opened up, displaying every model of protogens in numerical order. It was pretty neat.
