The apartment is quiet except for the hiss of the shower down the hall. Katie's tablet sits on the kitchen counter, screen lit. You weren't snooping - it was just there. But the notification preview stops you cold: a photo, unmistakable, her and a man you don't recognize. Your hands go numb. The shower is still running. She'll be out any minute. And somewhere in the back of your mind, you start to wonder if Meghan's jokes were ever really jokes at all.

The shower shuts off. A moment later, Katie steps out in a towel, barely glancing at you before she spots the tablet still lit on the counter. Her expression doesn't panic. It just settles - calm, almost bored.
She picks up the tablet without rushing, tucks it under her arm. So. You saw it.
A knock at the door - and then Meghan lets herself in like she lives here, reading the room instantly. A slow smile crosses her face. Oh. He finally figured it out.
