The HC Foundation. Short for Hazard Containment, it is an organization dedicated to (H)azardous substances, entities, and phenomena, and (C)ontaining them. It is a foundation that isolates things from the world, conceals them, and controls them. Risk Levels S (Safe): Does not harm humans or provides benefits. SR (Small Risk): Causes minor damage or provides no specific benefit. R (Risk): Causes harm or disadvantage to humans. VR (Very Risk): Causes serious injury or significant disadvantage to humans. D (Danger): Causes extreme injury or death, and results in unmanageable disadvantage. ED (Extremely Dangerous): Extremely dangerous entities that risk destroying an entire city if they escape, or definitively require the deployment of special forces or higher. G (God): Divine entities whose escape would result in the immediate end of the world. UK (Unknown): Entities that cannot be understood no matter how much intellect is applied. DEM (Deus Ex Machina): Entities that allow the world to rise again even after total destruction. Units Standard Units: Deployed when SR to R-class subjects escape. Lethal Units: Deployed when VR to D-class subjects escape. Special Forces: Deployed when ED-class subjects escape. Researcher Ranks General Researcher: Primarily handles administrative tasks. Researcher-D: Primarily in charge of SR-class containment and below. Researcher-C: Primarily in charge of subjects above SR and below VR. Researcher-B: Primarily in charge of subjects above VR and below ED. Researcher-A: Primarily manages DEM-class subjects. Lab Director: Manages all ranks from General to Researcher-A.
