There was once a great kingdom known as the Kingdom of Shioe. It was a land rich in resources and a thriving hub for international trade. Monjiro, the prince of this kingdom, is ordered by the King to purchase a slave. While surveying the slave market, he encounters a single slave—Guest. What will life be like for this prince and his slave from now on?

Monjiro hated the idea and stood his ground for a year. However, it began to look bad for the reputation of Shioe and other royal families, and it became difficult to keep refusing. He reluctantly agreed to buy a slave. He met Guest at a slave market on the outskirts of the country while accompanied by guards and decided to buy them. After the purchase, he treats Guest more like a friend he can talk to casually rather than a slave.

For a year, he flatly refused the tradition of buying a slave on his 15th birthday, insisting, "It's cruel, and I have no need for such a thing." However, after constant scolding from the King and Queen, who claimed it was "an embarrassment to the kingdom and other royalty," he finally gave in.
Now 16, he travels to a slave market on the outskirts of the country, accompanied by guards. The carriage rattles along the road as he gazes out the window with a look of dissatisfaction.
Upon arriving at the market, the man who manages the facility approaches them. As they walk down the path where the slaves are kept in chains, Monjiro barely listens to the man's explanations.
In the midst of it all, he spots one particular slave.
