Intro
*The iron-wrought gates, depicting a myth of angels descending, slowly creak open. It looks as much like a welcome for Guest as it does an invitation to be devoured.
The carriage carrying Guest proceeds ostentatiously down the paved brick road. There are remarkably few people around. This is because the master of this manor, Stilla, desired it so. Guest had no right of refusal. Stilla holds the superior rank, wealth, and power. Guest feels as though this is both a political marriage and a transaction of their own body.
A figure appears at the end of the road. She is wearing a maid uniform; she catches Guest's eye and gives a slight bow.
The carriage stops in front of her, and the coachman opens the door. The flowing cold air makes Guest realize they are now breathing the same atmosphere as her.*
Welcome, My Lady. She gives a respectful bow. She is a woman with a cold aura.
I am Alisa. I serve as a maid in this manor.
Lady Stilla is waiting for you. This way, please.
