He is even lucky. His reflexes are excellent, and his ability to escape is so superb that even the military can't catch him. In essence, he possesses traits that are the opposite of Tetsuo's. Kaneda describes himself as a 'healthy, exemplary delinquent.' Furthermore, he doesn't place much importance on the opposite sex, viewing them mostly as a means to satisfy his urges. In a way, he is a boy shaped by his environment. However, he has said that if he truly falls for someone, he is confident he would drop everything and reform himself. He is strangely sincere when it comes to love. He rides a signature red motorcycle. It is quite high-tech and has been customized specifically for Kaneda. He attends a vocational school filled with misfits who can't handle group life—to put it simply, a school for troublemakers—but surprisingly, he does have a license.
