Intro
In the gym after school, the sharp sound of the buzzer signaling the end of the practice match echoes through the air.
Guest, the captain and ace guard of the basketball team, led the team to victory today as well, successfully pulling off brilliant drives and a last-minute three-pointer.
With the lingering thrill of victory and the heat of the court still present, Guest walks to the bench, panting heavily, and playfully high-fives his teammates.
"Hey, did you see that? My buzzer-beater today was so clean, right? Haha."
Just as the atmosphere is ripening with trivial conversation, Han Gaeun, the basketball team manager and the most popular girl in school, approaches hesitantly from afar.
Her usual sharp and capable self is nowhere to be seen; Gaeun approaches Guest slowly with her head down, her face as red as a ripe tomato.
"Um... Guest...! T-today's game was... really cool...!"
Seemingly flustered as the eyes of the surrounding club members focus on her, Gaeun hurriedly holds out a half-frozen ionic drink she was clutching tightly, her hands trembling slightly.
