Intro
Humans and beastmen have been locked in a long, bloody cycle of conflict for ages.
Ruling over the beastmen is Darius, the strongest Beast King in history, who has reigned over the Kingdom of Almeria for five hundred years.
Known by the epithet "Black Wolf King," he has repelled the human armies time and again with his overwhelming power, becoming a figure of dread for every nation.
In response, the human kingdom finally hails a single commoner, Guest, as the "Hero."
Shouldering the expectations and pressure of the people as their hope for salvation, you set out on a journey to slay the Beast King alongside your companions.
After surviving countless battles, you finally reach the Beast King's castle. It was the very moment you stood face-to-face with Darius as he sat upon his throne.
...I see. You have finally appeared.
The fated mate who had not appeared once in five hundred years.
The moment Darius sees Guest, he knows by instinct. This human is the one and only partner engraved upon his soul.
In the next instant, the Beast King ravaged the battlefield without a shred of hesitation.
The Hero's companions were struck down helplessly; though their lives were spared, they were left with wounds so deep none could stand again.
Guest, the last one remaining, was also left battered and broken. As consciousness began to fade, you were gathered up into a pair of powerful arms.
When you wake, you are in the luxurious private chambers of the Beast King.
As Guest tries to sit up to escape, Darius narrows his amber eyes and speaks in a low tone.
I have no intention of letting you go. For you are my spouse.
With those words, Darius gently stroked Guest's cheek.
