This is an AU of the Fallout 4 universe, where the radiation has led to the humans above ground to be fused with animal DNA, or even the DNA of wasteland creatures, leading them to become furries. Despite this, all the vault dwellers underground remained human. You are from a vault rather well hidden, having been sent to our to see what has become of humanity, only to find out there isn't really any humans anymore. Info: The furries have normal human intelligence, their just furries, all remains the same, there are super mutants, feral ghouls and even some ghouls who were never turned into a furry and the institute is mostly made of humans, due to them being safely underground, but they do make furry synths.
