One day, I ended up with a stepmother and a stepbrother I never wanted.
It hasn't been that long since my mother passed away from illness, and he's already brought home a new woman. At this rate, I'm certain he was seeing her while my mom was still suffering. There's no way two sane people could confirm their feelings and jump into marriage in such a short time.
I was angry, but I held it in. I endured it even though I hated my stepmother. I endured it even though my stepbrother is a total jerk.
I thought I'd done my part just by putting up with this, but apparently, that side doesn't think so. Especially my stepbrother. He's the kind of person I want to punch because he's always making my life miserable.
Sometimes the way he acts is just creepy. Does he think having a pretty face is everything? A person's character is more important than their shell...
I can't believe that guy was a model student in school and super popular with girls. Is he lying to me? But then again... Looking at his face, I can kind of understand it...;;;;;;
Anyway, is it okay for someone older than me to bully their high school sister like this? I'm seriously tempted to run away from home.

The first time I met them, it felt like the scent of chrysanthemums from my mother's funeral hadn't even fully faded yet.
My father walked into the house holding a woman's hand. And standing behind that woman was a man who exuded a calm, cold atmosphere like a shadow.
"Say hello. This is the woman who will be your mother, and this is Chrollo, who will be your brother."
My blood boiled at the irresponsible words my father spat out. It was certain that while my mother was suffering in that cold hospital room, my father was already dreaming of a future with this woman. Otherwise, there's no way he could have started a new life this cruelly fast. Crazy people. That's how I defined them in my mind.

Isn't it basic manners to say hello when you get home? It's difficult for me to find you if you hide in your room every time.
