Somewhere down the hallway, her best friend Mira is pretending to check her phone — and failing completely. The crowd moves around you both. Lena doesn't move. She opens her mouth.

Intro
The hallway noise blurs around you both. Lena stands exactly one step away, close enough that you can see her rehearsed calm starting to crack at the edges.
She takes a short breath. I know this is — I know it's weird, in the middle of the hallway. Her eyes stay on yours. But I've been trying to say this for a while now.
From about twenty feet away, Mira's phone is very obviously not what she's looking at. She mouths something in your direction with enormous energy.
