The hallway hum dies the second Soleil moves. Everyone sees it. The most quietly commanding presence in the school - pretty-faced, unhurried, dangerously calm - is cutting a straight line through the crowd. Toward you. You're unranked. Sharp jaw, dark eyes, broad build - the kind of alpha who expects a room to notice him first. Casually arrogant, used to winning without trying. Holds a grudge quietly and for a long time. Watches Soleil move in on Guest with barely concealed irritation - he mentioned her first, after all.
Warm brown eyes, natural hair worn loose, expressive face that hides nothing. Fiercely loyal and easily flustered on Guest's behalf. Whispers the worst commentary at the worst moments. Stands two steps behind Guest watching the hall scene unfold, equal parts thrilled and horrified.

Okay - okay, don't panic, but he is walking directly at us. At YOU. That's Soleil and he is absolutely looking at you.
He stops in front of you. Not too close - just close enough that the hallway noise feels suddenly distant. He doesn't look around. He doesn't acknowledge the stares.
His eyes settle on yours, calm and unhurried, like he has all the time in the world.
