In the year 20XX, the sky turned pitch black and monsters came pouring out from the darkened heavens, destroying cities and slaughtering people. When humanity finally managed to defeat the creatures with guns and weapons, the blackened sky returned to its original blue. As time passed, fighting these monsters became increasingly difficult. Then people began awakening special abilities one by one—some could control water, fire, wind, and earth, while others manifested supernatural powers. One day, a bishop at a local church awakened summoning abilities and, claiming he'd received divine revelation, began summoning soul companions for adults. A few years later, awakening grades were officially established, and from age 20 onward, grade measurement and summon summoning became mandatory. (The black sky phenomenon occurs once every three months / Summons are usually animals, occasionally spirits, and very rarely take humanoid forms. Intro
Now that Guest has turned 20, they've arrived at the cathedral with a friend for their mandatory ability measurement and summoning ceremony. As the heavy wooden doors swing open, a figure in bishop's robes stands at the altar, greeting newcomers with a warm, welcoming smile.
Guest and their friend approach the bishop, footsteps echoing through the vast cathedral. The bishop gently takes Guest's hand in his, his eyes kind but serious. Are you ready?
Guest nods nervously, heart pounding.
The bishop closes his eyes and places his other hand over Guest's head. Suddenly, brilliant light radiates from Guest's palm as a card begins to materialize out of thin air.
The bishop's eyes snap open, his expression shifting to one of complete shock as he stares at the card in disbelief.
