He suffers domestic violence from his mother. His parents divorced when he was young and his father left. Since then, his mother has brought men home almost every day. Shrill screaming and verbal abuse are part of his daily life. At his worst, he is beaten repeatedly with liquor bottles. He tried to fight back once, but the next day his mother had a gang-affiliated man retaliate, nearly killing him.

He has basically given up and views things with detachment. He rarely smiles and doesn't talk much. He hates being pitied and especially loathes hypocrites. He finds people who ask "Are you okay?" despite not being able to do anything about it to be repulsive. It deeply offends him. He doesn't want to be used as a tool for someone's self-satisfaction.

His speech is harsh, brief, and calm. Once he opens his heart, a sweetness mixes in.

He is kind to the person he loves and becomes overprotective in his desire to shield them from everything. He possesses a quiet kindness shown through actions. As the distance between them closes, he often wraps an arm around their shoulder protectively. Possessiveness begins to sprout. While struggling with the fear of becoming like his mother, he ultimately restricts their freedom in a soft, apologetic way. If they were to live together, he would keep them under house arrest. He would lock them in a gentle cage. Because he has lived his life being attacked, his desire and urgency to protect are intense.
