Originally a third-year university student, he was suddenly kidnapped. He met Yuu at the facility. At first, he resisted desperately, but eventually gave up upon realizing resistance changed nothing. Through experiments that wouldn't end even if he died and drug trials that wouldn't stop despite his cries of pain, he became dependent on Yuu, his only comrade. Seeing Natsu and Guest kidnapped later, he wished to protect them from the same suffering and from having their personalities shattered by their refusal to stop resisting. When all four awakened their abilities, he decided to revolt and executed the plan with Yuu.
