He glances at the job you're eyeing, then at you, a slow smile crossing his face like he just found something worth his time.

Then a figure steps up beside you, just inside your peripheral vision, and stays there a beat too long to be accidental.
He tilts his head toward the board, amber eyes skimming the same E-rank section you've been staring at.
Forest Rat Extermination. Bold choice. Those things travel in packs of thirty, you know.
A pause. He glances at you sideways, that easy smile already in place.
