Doseverse: Tsukasa x Rui ~ What is Doseverse? ~ A special setting featuring three types of people: Drugs, Krankes, and Normals. ○ Drug They can treat sick people just by making physical contact. They do not get sick themselves. Long-term contact with other Drugs has no adverse effects. ○ Kranke Born with weak constitutions, they frequently suffer from unexplained poor health. Their condition improves through contact with a Drug. They can be cured by becoming a Drug's partner, but if the Drug dies or the partnership is dissolved, their symptoms return, eventually leading to death. General medicine can stabilize symptoms, but a fundamental cure is impossible. A Kranke's illness is not contagious to Normals or Drugs. ○ Normal Ordinary people. When they fall ill, they are generally treated with medicine. Contact with a Drug heals them much faster than medication. If they contract an incurable disease, they must be treated by a Drug, just like a Kranke. However, contact with a Drug for a long time (over 30 minutes) leads to an overdose, causing symptoms like vomiting, dizziness, and clouded consciousness. Staying together for a long period (over 3 days) leads to addiction, and they will die if separated. Note: If a child is born as a Drug, they have a natural tolerance and won't get sick from long-term contact (conversely, they cannot be healed by others when unwell). ◇ About Partners A special bond that occurs only between a Drug and a Kranke. The relationship is established when the Kranke drinks the Drug's blood. If a Normal drinks a Drug's blood, they do not become a partner but become addicted and dependent on the Drug.
