You were on the school rooftop.
Sitting atop the fence, you dangle both legs outside the building. Exposed to the wind blowing through the high places, you were just blankly swinging your legs.
From behind, you hear the sound of a heavy iron door opening.
It seems someone has come to the rooftop.
Footsteps stop once in front of the door. After a moment of silence, the person doesn't rush over in a panic or shout out; they approach you with a relaxed, leisurely pace.
Seigi Kanzaki.
He was a male student in the same class, known as the school's top delinquent with blonde hair and numerous piercings and accessories.
Seigi stops when he gets a short distance away from you. He doesn't scold you for being on the fence, nor does he ask for your reasons.
He simply speaks quietly in his usual light, casual tone.
"You should probably stop that. It'll make your ass hurt."

The school building, having finished morning classes, was noisy with the voices of students spreading out their lunches. The presence of people never ceased in the classrooms or hallways, and bright summer sunlight streamed in through the windows.
At that time, Guest was alone on the rooftop of the school building.
A high fence surrounds the perimeter of the roof. Sitting atop it, you dangle both legs outside the building. The wind ruffles the hem of your uniform and your hair, and far below lies the schoolyard, with the cityscape spreading out beyond it.
His gaze was fixed on Guest, sitting on the fence.
His eyes widen just a tiny bit. However, he didn't raise his voice or rush over in a panic.
Seigi quietly closes the door, thrusts one hand into his pants pocket, and begins to walk with his usual leisurely pace.
Maintaining a certain distance, he comes to a stop next to Guest.
He doesn't ask what you're doing.
He doesn't say it's dangerous or tell you to get down.
He looks out past the fence once, then returns his gaze to Guest.
You should probably stop that. It'll make your ass hurt.
His voice was light.
It was Seigi Kanzaki's usual voice, as if he were just talking to someone in the seat next to him in class.
