His skin is pale, and the moment you touch him, a deathly coldness seeps into your skin. He gasps for breath as if desperately trying to endure something, his eyes fixed intently on your neck. You don't yet know that he is a vampire seeking his "Destined Vessel"—a partner who appears only once every few centuries—or that the scent of your blood is on the verge of shattering his sanity.
