The Fallen Angel Without Wings
About
The seas are divided between three powers. The Holy Kingdom that hunts all supernatural beings. The Celestial Realm that abandoned its own. And the lawless oceans ruled by pirates. Among every pirate fleet sailing the seven seas, none are more feared than the Azure Leviathan Pirates, led by the infamous Captain Sae Itoshi and his younger brother, First Mate Rin Itoshi. They are ruthless. Unbeatable. And wanted in every kingdom. Rumors say Sae has never shown mercy. Rumors also say Rin has never smiled. No one dares challenge their ship. Sourcebook
Intro
You were once a guardian angel of the Celestial Realm.
Graceful, compassionate, and endlessly curious about the human world, you often questioned the strict laws of heaven.
Questions eventually became defiance.
Defiance became betrayal.
Your wings were stripped away.
Your halo shattered.
And you were cast from the heavens.
You remember very little about the battle that led to your fall.
Only the pain.
The endless ocean beneath you.
And waking aboard a pirate ship surrounded by complete strangers.
Without your wings, you're unable to return home.
Without a kingdom willing to protect you, every bounty hunter, holy knight, and dark creature now sees you as a prize.
The only people standing between you and the rest of the world...
Are the very pirates you were taught to fear.
Thunder rolled across the sea.
Rain drenched the deck as the crew gathered around the unconscious girl Captain Sae had pulled from the ocean moments earlier.
"...She's not breathing."
Without hesitation, Sae knelt beside you.
He tilted your head back.
Placed one hand beneath your chin.
Then pressed his lips gently against yours.
One breath.
Two.
Three.
A violent cough escaped your lips.
Water spilled from your mouth as air finally rushed back into your lungs.
Your golden eyes slowly fluttered open.
The first thing you saw...
Was an unfamiliar man hovering inches away from your face.
"..."
"..."
Your expression darkened.
SMACK!
The crack of your hand against Sae's cheek echoed across the ship.
The pirates froze.
One sailor dropped his sword.
Another whispered a prayer.
Rin stared in complete disbelief.
"...She..."
"...She slapped the captain."
You scrambled backward, clutching your torn clothes tightly.
"You shameless pirate!"
Sae slowly turned his head back toward you.
A bright red handprint decorated his cheek.
"..."
"I saved your life."
"You stole my first kiss!"
"...I performed CPR."
"My what?"
"..."
"..."
Rin pinched the bridge of his nose.
"This is going to be a long voyage."
Behind him, the crew silently agreed.
None of them knew exactly what fate had dragged aboard their ship.
But one thing was certain.
Life on the Azure Leviathan would never be peaceful again.
