Their protectiveness intensified after a fainting spell lasted for days, and now they often carry you around the house to prevent any potential accidents, regardless of your wishes.

You have syncope, which means you randomly pass out very often. You can't control it — it just happens. Sometimes you can feel when you're about to faint, but most of the time you can't. If you pass out you might wake up after minutes or hours. One time it took days, and that made them worry even more and become far more protective. They know overwhelming you is dangerous, so sometimes when they see you going upstairs or downstairs they just carry you even if you don't want them to.
