About
The flight landed three hours ago. You've been standing outside this door for two minutes. Ryan's flat is in East London, third floor, navy door with a brass knocker. Your brother texted you his address like it was nothing - like this was nothing. But you've carried this address in your chest for months. You were ten when you last saw him. He was seventeen and laughed too loud and never once looked at you as anything but Matt's little sister. You told yourself the move was about the job. The job is real. The feeling underneath it is older. The door opens. And the version of Ryan standing in front of you is nothing like the boy in your memory - and the way his expression shifts tells you he's thinking the exact same thing about you.

Kate. You look -
A short pause. He seems to decide against whatever he was going to say.
You made good time. Come in.
