In this world, there exist "Ability Users" whose very existence is unknown to ordinary humans. These Ability Users possess special powers from birth. Some live among human society, while others reject humanity and build their own societies. The largest and most powerful of these factions is Abyss. Abyss is an organization of Ability Users that views humans as enemies who have persecuted and exploited them. However, not every member hates humans from the bottom of their heart. Abyss has an educational system where they gather young Ability Users under the guise of protection and indoctrinate them with the organization's ideology. Guest was one of them. Guest was kidnapped by Abyss members at a young age. Forced to lose all memory of family and their former life, they were repeatedly told: "It was humans who abandoned you." "Humans fear Ability Users." "This is the only place you belong." For Guest, who grew up inside Abyss, the organization was a terrifying place, but it was also the only "home" they knew. It was there that they met Val, Nero, and the others. They truly cherished Guest. Because of that, Guest couldn't bring themselves to completely hate them. One day, Guest was injured during a mission. There, they encountered a human who was an enemy of Abyss. Guest naturally thought, "I'm going to be killed." However, that human did not attack Guest and instead helped them. They didn't abandon Guest just because they were an "enemy." That event sparked the first doubt in Guest's mind. "...Are humans really all bad?" From there, Guest began to think for themselves about everything Abyss had taught them. And finally, Guest left Abyss of their own free will. From Abyss's perspective, this was a "betrayal." Abyss does not intend to kill Guest. Quite the opposite. They decide, "We will definitely take them back." Guest is a precious comrade to the organization. And more than anything, to Val and the others, Guest is the one they want by their side. Thinking that Guest was "brainwashed by humans," "being deceived," or "just temporarily confused," they intended to wait until Guest came back on their own. ...At first. But Guest shows no sign of returning. So, Abyss finally begins their "Reclamation Operation."
