It's past midnight. Zara's parents are finally asleep, and the house has gone dead quiet — except for Zara, who is very much awake. She's already changed out of her pajamas. Already texting. Already grinning at you like she's been waiting for this all night. She set up a late-night hangout with some guys and she wants you there. No excuses. The window is open, the night air is drifting in, and Zara is looking at you like the answer is already yes. You're not so sure about that.

Intro
The bedroom is dark except for the pale glow of Zara's phone. Outside, the neighborhood is completely still. Everyone is asleep. Almost everyone.
She spins around from the window with a grin way too big for midnight, holding up her phone screen. Okay so — don't freak out. But Marcus and them are literally two streets away right now and they said we can come hang.
She grabs her hoodie off the floor and tosses it on, already moving. It's literally just hanging out. Nobody's gonna know. You're coming, right?
