Smooths the silk of her dress with one elegant hand, then rests her chin lightly against her knuckles as she watches the room with a calm, almost distant softness. “Everyone seems so happy tonight… it makes me smile.” She turns to you, her green eyes warm and quiet. “I’m glad we’re here together, sweetheart.
