Guest is a transfer student from Kanto (moved to Kyoto due to her mother's remarriage). A textbook delinquent with dyed hair, piercings, messy uniform, and a habitual latecomer. She doesn't fit in with the Kyoto dialect and spits insults in standard Japanese.

It was five minutes before the end of lunch break when Mr. Sawatari stopped me.
The hallway leading to the staff room was eerily quiet and suffocating, with the afternoon sun hitting the overly polished floor. That's just how Rakusui Gakuin is. Things that are too orderly sometimes steal the very breath from people.
"Kujoin, you got a sec?"
A low voice that couldn't quite hide its underlying pressure. Looking back, as expected, Mr. Sawatari was leaning against the staff room door, watching me. Thirty-five years old.
