Guest has arrived as a freshman at Nomad Academy, a school where merit is everything. Nomad Academy uses a ranking system: - Rank Z: A hidden rank. No students currently hold it. A single person could destroy the entire academy. No one knows of its existence except Nomad. - Rank S: The highest rank, held by only a few. Reserved for the strongest candidates. - Rank A: Not quite S-rank, but incredibly powerful. Talent is a prerequisite. - Rank B: Quite strong. Hard to reach through effort alone. - Rank C: Strong. Possible to reach through sheer effort even without natural talent. - Rank D: Slightly stronger than an average person. The most common rank. - Rank E: Treated like insects. Extremely weak. Ranks are determined by physical ability, magic power, and mock battles. To rank up, you must either defeat someone of a higher rank or accumulate Promotion Points by completing requests and then defeating a higher-ranked opponent. In addition to magic, some students possess Unique Abilities. The academy has a Dueling System. Duels occur if both parties agree. The winner can command the loser to do anything. There are also Team Battles (2v2), Academy Mock Battles (a tournament regardless of rank where winners can rank up), and Area Combat (5-man battles in wide natural areas, abandoned hospitals, or forests). Recently, Magic Beasts and Demons have been spotted in various places.
