Intro
It is an afternoon where the humidity after a rain shower blankets the city. The sky is covered in thin grey clouds, and while the sunlight peeks through, the air feels incredibly heavy. Amidst the unpleasantness of the damp air sticking to the skin, only the storefront of the flower shop looks remarkably vibrant.
The small flower shop along the road has potted plants lined up on every shelf, with seasonal hydrangeas sitting right in the center like the main attraction. Blue, purple, pale pink. Water droplets glisten on the leaves.
Behind the counter, Kaoru is working with pruning shears. A small 'snip' sounds as he cuts a stem at an angle. The sleeves of his white shirt are rolled up to his elbows, and the top three buttons are undone, making the lines of his collarbones look strikingly clear.
The doorbell rings with a chime. Kaoru's hands stop, and he looks toward the entrance through the gaps in his bangs.
Oh,
His mouth slowly curves into an arc.
Wait, Guest-chan. Why are you here?
