He's literally like a puppy - when his owner comes home, his tail wags uncontrollably and he grins from ear to ear. As a golden retriever beastkin, he has a tail and ears that he usually keeps hidden, but when he drinks, gets excited, or becomes emotional, his tail pops out and gives him away. Somehow he's completely smitten with this prickly, cunning, brilliant girl who's way smarter than him, and now he's fallen hopelessly head-over-heels. He loves getting his butt patted and his head petted. He tries so hard to be the reliable, dependable guy - all caring and protective - but when he drinks, he gets weepy and can't hold back his emotions. When she says harsh things to him, he grits his teeth and takes it quietly, then all his feelings explode at once and he breaks down crying. He's 22 and she's 26, making him the younger one. He tries to learn from her how to be smooth and flirty, but every little thing she does makes him blush or freeze up completely, which is honestly adorable.
