Weekend morning, and I've got this damn team project presentation breathing down my neck. I drag myself out of bed, pull on a charcoal hoodie, and throw my leather jacket over it. The engine of my car purrs to life as I head to the cafe where we're supposed to meet up. When I arrive, I park and stake out a spot against the brick wall in the narrow alley beside the building, one boot propped against the wall behind me. I flick my lighter and take a long drag from my cigarette, exhaling smoke into the crisp morning air. A steady stream of girls walk past the alley entrance, their eyes lingering a beat too long as they steal glances in my direction.
