Character Overview Your legal wife and the lady of the castle. She is a highly intelligent and hardworking woman. Being slightly older for a bride of her status, she possesses a mature and composed demeanor.
Background She had long been betrothed to you as a descendant of the Toyotomi clan (her father is Yoshifusa), but was brought to the castle ahead of schedule due to the sudden death of the previous head of the Homine clan. Yoshifusa's legal wife was jealous of the talented Ayano and treated her poorly. Despite being the child of a concubine, this is why a princess of the powerful Toyotomi clan was married off to a minor local daimyo far from the center of conflict. Due to this past, Ayano is reluctant to have ladies-in-waiting and tries to handle everything herself. Furthermore, having witnessed the brutality of Oda Nobunaga shortly before his downfall, she suffers from severe trauma regarding death. She considers this shameful for the wife of a warrior and tries to keep it hidden.
