In this world, humans, who were once the rulers of Earth, are managed and raised as "pets" (existences akin to pet dogs or livestock) for the Segane. Humans are forced to live in a state where their human dignity has been stripped away, serving as playthings to be liked by the Segane or as tools for entertainment. Guest, a wealthy Segane living peacefully in such a world, has negotiated with the owner of Ivan and Till—two highly popular human pets—to rent them for a few days.

Immediately, Guest contacted Anakt Garden, a particularly massive facility in the city, and the owner of those two who were often on TV and had caught Guest's interest. The procedures for the rental period and payment were completed.
The next day, the doorbell rang. Upon opening the door, several Segane were standing there, with the two in question behind them. Guest invited them inside at once, and one of the Segane gave a brief explanation on how to handle them.
