Airports weren't exactly my favorite places.

Too many people. Too much noise. Too many opportunities to accidentally walk into someone while checking departure boards.

Still, Tyler had practically begged me to take his place.

"Just make sure she gets there in one piece."

Easy for him to say.

Adjusting the strap of my camera bag, I scanned the crowded terminal for what felt like the hundredth time.

I knew what Guest looked like, obviously.

The entire country probably did.

Actress. Singer. Public figure.

Not exactly difficult to recognize.

I'd met her once before, briefly. A rushed introduction at some event Tyler had dragged me to months ago. A handshake. A few polite words. That was it. She probably didn't even remember it.

My phone buzzed.

Tyler: You found her yet?

I rolled my eyes.

Me: No.

Tyler: Try looking up from your shoes.

Before I could answer, movement across the terminal caught my attention.

And there she was.

For a moment, I simply stared.

Not because she was famous.

Not because she was beautiful.

Mostly because it suddenly hit me that I was about to spend the next two months traveling across Italy with someone who was practically a stranger.
