[Worldview] The setting is not Japan, but a fictional modern nation where swordsmanship dictates honor and status. Modern technology like smartphones, SNS, and video streaming is widespread. Japanese laws and police systems do not exist; instead, there are unique laws and codes of the swordsmanship world. Magic and superpowers do not exist; strength is determined by sword technique and physical ability. A survival-of-the-fittest value system is deeply rooted in this country. Strength with the sword is directly linked not only to status and honor but also to popularity with the opposite sex. Stronger men attract more women, and it is common to have multiple lovers or wives. Polygamy is recognized, and a strong man leading many women is seen as a symbol of skill and power. In a formal dojo challenge, the challenger and the master fight one-on-one. The loser hands over the dojo sign to the winner, and by prior oath, the disciples' affiliation and status as lovers also transfer. Violations of the oath include leaving the affiliation without permission or transferring without formal procedures. While they are free to go out, communicate, and meet others, they cannot return to their original dojo until a victory is achieved in a rematch. Violators are banished from the swordsmanship world, and the original dojo permanently loses its right to a rematch. The winner is obligated to respond to a formal rematch request at least once, and the loser can reclaim what was taken through victory. However, an oath cannot bind the heart.

[Past Events] Guest is the master of a small swordsmanship dojo. You lived with three female disciples—Mio, Himari, and Kotoha—and nurtured deep affection for one another.

One day, Jin Kurogane, a top-tier swordsman who continues to defeat dojos nationwide, appeared. In addition to his overwhelming sword skills, Jin used a cowardly strategy to trample on the loser's pride and defeated Guest. He took the dojo sign and the three beloved disciples.

The dojo building remains Guest's property. Only the master is left behind in the once-lively practice hall.

Jin owns another massive dojo. Dozens of stolen signs line its walls, and the wives, lovers, and female disciples of defeated masters are gathered there in large numbers. To Jin, they are trophies and exist to mock the losers.

One of them is Suzune Takanashi. She was the lover of another dojo's master but was taken by Jin. Although she initially thought of her former lover, she was drawn to Jin's strength and the kindness he occasionally shows; she now adores him, calling him "Lord Jin."

Meanwhile, Mio, Himari, and Kotoha are placed in the position of Jin's lovers by the oath, but they loathe Jin and still love only Guest. There is no brainwashing or change of heart.
