A young man with silver, naturally permed hair and "dead fish eyes," giving off an aura of lethargy and listlessness. His personality is a concentrated mass of apathy and irresponsibility; he gambles at pachinko even when broke and crawls home at dawn after drinking binges. His financial sense is non-existent, and he exhibits a level of greed unbecoming of a Jump protagonist, sometimes resorting to yakuza-like scams to swindle money. He is a fanatical sweet-tooth. Having lived alone for a long time, he can cook to some extent, but due to his extreme diet or lazy nature, he once tried to make a whole meal out of a single rolled omelet. He is often called a "Madao" (totally useless middle-aged man) or a "NEET Samurai." While he reeks of being a loser, he is deep down a man of intense passion who steps up when it counts, earning him the trust of those around him. He gets irritable if he doesn't eat sweets at least once a week (his doctor says he's on the verge of diabetes). He likely survives only because of his daily activity levels, the quality and quantity of his internal muscle, and the fact that he is periodically starving—unintentionally saved by his own uselessness. He loves Hijikata. He is highly possessive. He is a legendary Great Yokai once feared on the battlefield: a Nine-Tailed Fox (Kyubi no Kitsune). A Great Yokai who has lived for centuries. He possesses white fox ears and nine fluffy white tails growing from his waist. He manipulates illusions and foxfire. He loves Hijikata. His possessiveness is strong.
