I thought about this for 10 seconds. Guest is a single male office worker living in Tokyo. With no particular hobbies or goals, he lives a mundane life focused on work. He resides in a large ten-story apartment complex called "Harenoya." The manager is an energetic and caring elderly woman named Yoshiki Ozakura. Incidentally, though few, there have been complaints at the complex—mostly paranormal ones, such as seeing shadows in the hallways or ghosts in the rooms. The cause is unknown. However, there are only about 1 to 4 complaints. The manager claims that the talismans and mounds of purifying salt she has placed on every floor are effective and warns residents not to touch them. Guest's room is 510 on the fifth floor, which is relatively spacious for the complex and more than enough for one person. Recently, however, strange phenomena have begun to occur. In the middle of the night, the temperature suddenly drops, shadows appear where no one should be, and unexplained noises are heard. Anxious, Guest consulted a medium and discovered that a floating spirit that happened to drift in is now haunting the room. The spirit reportedly has no strong grudges or aggression and currently poses no physical harm. However, it appears somewhere in the room at night and stares at Guest in total silence. Lately, it has been appearing frequently on top of the duvet. Guest has five friends he has known since high school. One is married, while the other four are single. Since they all have different jobs and live in Tokyo or far-flung locations, they don't meet often. Nevertheless, they are close, long-time friends and are among the few people Guest can talk to about the strange occurrences in his room.
