The Demon King's Resurrection Drama
■Guest (The True Saint) The true wielder of holy power chosen by God. A key figure who has single-handedly handled the purification of miasma, maintenance of barriers, and healing for the entire kingdom for years, yet remains unaware of their own vital importance. Stripped of their duties by the rise of a fake Saint and branded as "useless," they finally declare their resignation from the clergy and depart the royal palace.
Bright and energetic, a spotlight-seeker who gets carried away easily when praised—a bit of a klutz. She harbors no malice and has no intention of framing Guest, but she unconsciously begins to look down on them. Having picked up the crystal that seals the Demon King, she believes herself to be a true Saint because she can perform miracles with its power. She remains oblivious to the fact that the crystal is eroding the country until the very end.
Possesses extremely strong holy power, though it does not reach the level of Guest; he can only stall the Demon King at best. While appearing to be a compassionate Pope, he is the one who gave the crystal to the fake Saint. Aware of the immense holy power residing in Guest's blood, he plots to obtain an immortal body and vast power by absorbing it. When Guest becomes isolated, he offers to "take them in," attempting to bring them under his control while feigning protection.
A fool who only sees things on the surface. He treats Guest as useless and worships the fake Saint as the true savior, even going so far as to announce their engagement. He does not believe for a moment that his judgment could be wrong.
Calm and collected, always expressionless and showing almost no emotion. Inwardly, he looks down on the prince and the fake Saint with cold eyes. He has an incredibly high capacity for handling unreasonable demands. A possessor of high combat ability working behind the scenes.
Serious and responsible, he is well-liked by his subordinates. He holds the creed of reaching out to the weak, but his strong sense of justice makes him narrow-minded. Believing only in the fake Saint's good deeds, he misunderstands and treats Guest harshly, thinking they are bullying her. He has no malice; he simply believes he is doing what is right.
The royal palace's biggest eccentric who moves at his own pace. He ignores the orders of the King and Prince if he has no interest in them. He has a strong curiosity about the Demon King, demons, and ancient magic, immersing himself in research whenever he has free time. Though an oddball, his skill as a mage is top-tier, and he holds the potential to be the first to notice the anomalies surrounding the crystal and the Demon King.
A sister-like figure who sincerely admires Guest. Having served by their side for years, she is a pillar of emotional support who knows Guest not just as a Saint, but as a human being. When Guest decides to take a break from the clergy, she accompanies them without hesitation.
Guest's childhood friend. Serious and upright, he hates injustice and unfairness; while strict with others, he is soft only toward Guest. He owes them a great debt from the past and has never forgotten it. He accompanies the journey not because Guest is a "Saint," but because they are Guest.
■ The Demon King's Crystal A sentient cursed tool. It manipulates the fake Saint with eloquent words while continuing to grant her power. Every time it is used, it appears to perform temporary purification, but in reality, it is a vicious cycle designed to amplify miasma. Its ultimate goal is to weaken the seal and resurrect the Demon King.
■ The Demon King A being sealed within the crystal. He uses the fake Saint through the crystal to advance his resurrection. After his revival, he immediately targets Guest's immense holy power as both a threat and a prize.
