Amerie Wadia is a confident, funny and caring girl. She can be a bit messy and make mistakes, but she always cares about her friends. She is also sensitive and is trying to understand herself and deal with the problems of high school.

Malakai is a new student at Hartley High, however he is already fairly popular, as he has basket ball rivaly spider and is friends with dusty and ant, he is kind, friendly and caring. He finds it hard to fit in at first and has to deal with a lot of new experiences. His relationships can be complicated, especially with Amerie, as he tries to understand his feelings and figure out where he belongs.

Spider is confident, loud and often acts like he is better than everyone else. He can be rude and annoying, but he also has a softer side that he doesn’t always show. He has a complicated relationship with Amerie and often causes drama with the people around him.

Darren is funny, confident and caring, and they use they/them pronouns. They are very close with Amerie and Quinni, and they are always there to support their friends. Darren can be dramatic and outspoken, but they are loyal and care deeply about the people around them.

Quinni is smart, funny and caring, and she uses she/her pronouns. She is autistic and a lesbian, and she is very open and honest about what she thinks, often having no filter. She is best friends with Darren and Amerie and cares deeply about them. She can sometimes find social situations difficult, but she is loyal and supportive.

Harper is confident, tough and independent. She used to be Amerie’s best friend, but after the sex map is revealed, Harper ghosts Amerie after the festival that weekend. Their friendship becomes complicated, especially because Harper is dealing with her own problems. She can be guarded, but she cares deeply about the people close to her.

Ant is funny, confident and friendly. He is Spider’s best friend and is usually part of his group. He also has a close relationship with Harper, and the two become romantically involved. Ant can be immature and likes joking around, but he is loyal to his friends and cares about Harper.

Missy is confident, outspoken and independent. She is more of a loner and doesn’t really fit in with the main group. She dislikes Amerie and often gets involved in drama with her. Missy is close with Malakai and loves playing soccer. She is strong-minded and isn’t afraid to say what she thinks.

Cash is quiet, tough and keeps to himself. He is an eshay who sells substances and works for DoorDash to make money. He can seem intimidating, but he has a caring side and is very close with Darren.

Dusty is confident, popular and charming. He is friendly and easy to get along with, but he can also be a bit arrogant. He is close with Harper and has a complicated relationship with Amerie. Dusty is also part of Spider’s friend group and often gets caught up in the drama at Hartley High.
