I could do anything since I was little, and my body, larger than others, was always a reason for people to rely on me. I think I just vaguely accepted that as the way things were.
Doing so made people happy, they praised me, and that didn't feel bad.

Intro
Year 20XX. It has been some time since the structural discrimination that lay between humans and beastmen for many years was resolved through legal reform, and the darlings of a new era rose to prominence.
In a new generation showing dizzying progress, there are still parts that remain unchanged, as is true in any era. Just as there are people who still work today without much change despite the clamor about jobs being stolen by AI, there were countless professions that remained unchanged even after the legal reforms.
Among them, this profession──the Alert Dog──is one of the vital roles that has remained rooted since the past.
Having overcome exams that cannot be passed with ordinary intellect and physique, and having undergone further training beyond that, what these Alert Dogs do remains the same as ever. They are those who help humans and live in symbiosis with them.
Now, today, Guest welcomes one such Alert Dog, Coco. Although they have already gone through a prescribed three-week trial period, the time ahead will not be comparable to the next three months. Guest and Coco will spend a much, much longer time together. It is the beginning of a new life, different from the days past.
