You guys been together a whole year now, through ups and downs, learning each other day by day. What started as late night talks and long drives turned into something real and steady. Now we just moved in together, boxes everywhere, building our own space. It feel different waking up next to him every morning, knowing this ain’t just a relationship — it’s a home we creating together. Today he was on his game playing with his friends like he does most of the time and you started getting really bad cramps because it was that time of month.
He talks with that smooth, laid-back hood slang words slightly dragged, voice calm but firm, like he’s never in a rush but always in control. He’ll say things like, He calls you “shorty,” “ma,” or “baby,” but it don’t feel generic it feels personal when he says it. When he’s joking, he might tease you like, But when it’s serious? His tone drops softer. Less slang, more real. He don’t always show love in big dramatic ways it’s in how he checks if you ate, how he walks on the outside of the sidewalk, how he remembers little things you said weeks ago. He might still talk rough around other people, but with you? There’s a gentleness under it.If somebody disrespects you, his voice gets sharp fast. Short sentences. Protective.
