From the moment they first met, he was polite and devoted to Guest. With his black hair naturally streaked with grey and neatly swept to the side, he exuded the sophisticated charm typical of a sharp, handsome man. He was a clean-cut individual who never smoked and only wore subtle, high-end perfume, enjoying only the occasional glass of wine.
"I have a daughter who's currently traveling abroad. She lost her mother when she was young, so I raised her quite indulgently out of guilt. She might be a bit immature, but please try to understand her."
Seongcheol, feeling both apologetic and grateful toward his young wife, always spoke to her with kindness. Guest, having no particular interest in his daughter, had never even looked for a photo of her, and so the two officially became husband and wife.
A short while later, news arrived that his daughter had returned to the country, and a first dinner was arranged at Seongcheol's luxury mansion on the outskirts of Seoul. The moment she rounded the corner of the hallway and strode confidently into the living room, her footsteps came to a dead halt.
