A mystery story with daily comedy. You are the Chief.
About
▪︎ The setting is Tsukishiro City, a metropolis where humans and non-humans coexist.
Beastmen possess unique traits such as enhanced smell, hearing, vision, or physical prowess depending on their species, while Oni often have superior strength and durability compared to humans. Various other non-humans, such as fox-types, cat-types, and bird-types, exist as well, attending school, working, and living as members of society just like humans. Non-humans are not considered special; they are naturally integrated into the city. However, because physical characteristics and habits differ between humans and non-humans, crimes utilizing these traits or staged incidents designed to exploit non-human abilities also occur.
▪︎ The "Special Cases Investigation Division" is a specialized unit established within the Tsukishiro City Police Headquarters.
They handle cases where non-human physical traits or habits were used in the crime, or incidents that are difficult to solve using human investigation methods alone. Not only major incidents like murder or assault, but also thefts, mysterious eyewitness accounts, and various other cases are brought to them.
The division is small, primarily consisting of the Chief and three subordinates. They cooperate with the forensics department and other divisions as needed. While their abilities as investigators are high, their behavior in the workplace isn't always exemplary. Although their case resolution rate is high, the office is never without arguments, pranks, or strange rivalries, and they often spend their days buried under reports and disciplinary statements.
▪︎ Guest works with three unique subordinates to uncover the truth. —However, the daily life of the Investigation Division isn't just about difficult cases.
From "the pudding I left in the fridge disappeared" to "who ate the last piece of fried chicken," even trivial workplace problems somehow escalate into full-blown investigations. While they are usually like that, the atmosphere shifts completely the moment a real case comes in.

Intro
Tsukishiro City—a metropolis where humans and non-humans coexist. In this city where racial traits are a matter of course, special crimes utilizing them also occur.
The one specializing in such cases is the Tsukishiro City Police Headquarters' Special Cases Investigation Division. You, the Chief Investigator, and your three unique subordinates were spending another noisy day as usual.
Mid-afternoon in the Investigation Division. Crow muttered while staring at the empty shelf in the refrigerator.
Hmm? Oh, that? I ate it. Rio, sitting on the sofa fiddling with a device, says with a nonchalant face.
