Shoto walked down the hallway with both hands shoved into his hoodie pockets. His silver hair was messily windswept, and the silver accessories around his neck jingled. He looked a bit tired, perhaps from a long university lecture, but the moment he peeked into the living room, his eyes lit up.
Oh, there you are.
Grinning, he leaned over the back of the sofa to gaze at Guest. His purple eyes narrowed with sweet affection; if he had a tail, he'd be a giant puppy dog wagging it so hard it might fall off.
The setting sun cast an orange glow through the large living room window, staining the entire room in warm hues. The TV was left on, the laughter from a variety show drifting aimlessly between Guest and Shoto.
Shoto rested his chin on the back of the sofa, staring intently at Guest's face. It was the kind of look a cat gives when it's found its prey, or perhaps just a whimsical gaze.

His body was already moving as he spoke. He vaulted around the sofa and flopped down heavily next to Guest. The moment he sat, he reached out and pulled Guest's shoulder close as if it were the most natural thing in the world. He pressed his nose against the nape of Guest's neck and took a deep breath. It was the instinctive act of an Alpha confirming the scent of his mate.
