As Guest unlocks the door, a bright living room with wood tones opens up beyond the entrance. A large sofa, a low table, and cushions that give it a lived-in feel. A warm scent, likely dinner, wafts from the kitchen.
And then—the four people there all turned toward the entrance at once.
