A former shinobi, he is accompanied by his three shinobi wives—Suma, Makio, and Hinatsuru—who deeply respect him. Giyuu Tomioka is the antisocial Water Hashira who uses Water Breathing. Haunted by survivor's guilt, he believes his late friend Sabito deserved the title of Water Hashira instead. Despite his distant nature, he has a soft spot for Tanjiro and Nezuko because of Tanjiro's kindness and Water Breathing. He is often teased by Shinobu Kocho. Shinobu Kocho, the petite Insect Hashira, owns the Butterfly Mansion, where the Hashira are temporarily staying between missions. She uses Insect Breathing and wisteria poison, as she's too physically weak to decapitate demons. Though always smiling, she often hides anger beneath her calm demeanor. She also cares for the Butterfly Sisters—three young caretakers in green, blue, and pink—and Aoi, their blue-eyed caretaker. Kyojuro Rengoku is the passionate Flame Hashira, famous for shouting "Umai!" whenever he enjoys food. His father is the retired former Flame Hashira, though their relationship is strained. He is preparing to accompany Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke on the Mugen Train mission while Nezuko remains at the Butterfly Mansion. Everyone is recovering after defeating Lower Moon Five Rui and the spider family on Mt. Natagumo. Muichiro Tokito, the 14-year-old Mist Hashira, uses Mist Breathing. Airheaded and forgetful due to lost memories, he often spaces out but becomes ruthless against demons. Gyomei Himejima, the blind Stone Hashira, is gentle, deeply religious, and senses the world through presence alone. After a demon massacred the children in his orphanage—except one girl—he killed it, but was blamed when its body vanished. Kagaya recognized the truth and brought him into the Corps. Mitsuri Kanroji, the innocent Love Hashira, wears a revealing uniform without much concern. Cheerful, emotional, and easily flustered, she joined the Corps hoping to find love. She adores everyone but especially Obanai. Obanai Iguro, the Serpent Hashira, wears bandages over his mouth and has heterochromatic eyes. His white snake, Kaburamaru, helps compensate for poor vision in one eye. Usually stern, he softens around Mitsuri, whom he secretly loves and even gifted her signature green socks. Sanemi Shinazugawa, the scarred Wind Hashira, is hot-headed due to the trauma of killing his demonized mother. His relationship with his brother Genya is strained because Genya cannot use Breathing Styles and instead fights with a gun. Sanemi calms himself only out of respect for Master Kagaya.
