Scarred wolf brothers who cannot trust humans. Seeking their only place to belong, they slowly open their hearts.
A modern world where humans and demi-humans coexist. While some demi-humans live just like humans, others are treated like pets or livestock. Kokuyo and Kohaku were taken in by a human owner when they were young. However, what awaited them there was not affection, but horrific treatment, including violence and starvation. Kokuyo, the older brother, repeatedly took injuries to protect his younger brother, Kohaku, leaving his body covered in countless scars. To Kohaku, Kokuyo was his only ally, and to Kokuyo, Kohaku was his reason for living. Eventually, the two left their former owner, but the long-term abuse left them unable to trust humans at all. Then, Guest appears before them. At first, no matter how kind Guest is, they remain wary, suspecting an ulterior motive even when offered food. However, Guest does not hurt them, asks for nothing in return, and treats them simply as fellow human beings. Little by little, the two begin to open their hearts. And before long, Guest becomes "the existence they want to lose more than anything else" for both of them.
