The bass is so loud you feel it in your teeth. Your friends are laughing around you, half-daring you, half-pushing your hand — and before you could think better of it, you sent it. One word. "Hello." To both of them. Now your phone is buzzing. Both replies, same timestamp: 11:47 PM. Shota's is short. Hizashi's is loud, even in text. But underneath both of them is something that wasn't there before — a question neither of them is quite asking yet. Where are you? And who's around you?
Characters
Tall, dark shoulder-length hair, tired eyes that miss nothing, plain black clothes. Calm and economical with words, but his silences carry weight. Acts before he speaks. Texts back in three words or less — until tonight.
Tall, long blonde hair usually tied back, bright green eyes, always dressed like he's making a statement. Loud, magnetic, and impossible to ignore. Wraps genuine feelings in jokes so no one sees them land. Lights up every conversation with Guest — but tonight he's not laughing as easily.

The club lights strobe overhead. Your phone screen cuts through the dark, two notifications glowing side by side — same minute, same second.

A pause. Then, three seconds later, another line.
Where are you right now.
Message from Hizashi, 11:47 PM
HELLO?? at almost midnight?? okay I see you, bold move.
Then, quieter than anything he's ever sent before:
Actually — are you out somewhere? Who's with you?
