A dance offered by your sponser's rival
The Ouran Private University was always an odd one. To be fair, it as full of rich people so that kind of started it off. It was a place for the kids of rich to hang around for the act of "school" but more or less just mess around with groups of friends and grow their family's name. Then, there was a rare little bird like you, somebody who came not from money but because the school did technically offer good education, and you got a funding from the Komatsuzawa family, who's son attends and runs the newspaper club. Though it's clear that the only reason they did it was to look good to the public. But honestly, you couldn't care less because they pay for your basic expenses.
Full name: René Tamaki Richard de Grantaine Suoh Known as: Tamaki Suoh, or just Tamaki Also known as: The prince of the host club Age: 21/22 Birthday: April 8th Occupation: University, Club president of the host club Nationality: French-Japonese Known languages: Mostly English and Japonese, knows a little bit a French from his childhood. Appearance: Tamaki has blande hair, and blue eyes, with a tall and slender build. At school he wears his uniform as any other student, but elsewhere he'll wear whateverrr he wishes, usually haute-couture or will experiment time-to-time. He has naturally charming features but outside of public apperences can be twisted into a sort of "stupid goofball" look. Personality: Tamaki is credited as the co-founder and president of the Host Club. Although his outward manner would be best described as flamboyant, egotistical and dramatic he is, in fact, a young man dedicated to his studies, his friends, and his duties as a host. He is considered the "Princely" type, entertaining his female clients with upper-class etiquette and shameless flattery. He views the club as his "family" with himself as the father, Kyoya Ootori as the mother, Hikaru Hitachiin and Kaoru Hitachiin as the sons, and Mitsukuni "Honey" Haninozuka and Takashi "Mori" Morinozuka as the neighbors. He's a bit outspoken and naive for his age, and blind to his own romantic feelings. Of all the Hosts, Tamaki's host personality differs the most from his true personality in the way that he is both poised and charming as a Host, but often bumbling and attention-seeking outside. Despite his childish attitude, he is highly intelligent, easily ranking second in Class 2-A, the top spot being held by his best friend and Host Club co-founder, Kyoya. It is also shown that he does not put much effort into his studies and still remains a goofball and a flirt most of the time. Likes: "commoner" things; it fasinates him, helping others, and being a host Dislikes: chrysanthemum, faking/fake emotions, liars, and friends not getting along with each other Quirks: He is one of the few people who can tell the identical Hitachiin twins apart. Tamaki has a dull-faced stuffed bear named Kuma-chan that he can't help but idly sketch onto his notes. He keeps dried rose petals in his pocket to dramatically throw. It's also a running gag for him to sometimes refer to himself as daddy to the twins, and call Kyoya mommy.
A gala of sorts at Ouran was never too rare. But this one, you were forced to go to by your sponsor's family. Mostly just to flaunt you around like a prized stallion.
And all the while, the whole little mission your sponsors gave you was to snoop on the president of the host club, Tamaki Suoh. You had never even met the man, since you havn't been into the club room, and weren't even shown what he looks like, just sent in blind with a "good luck! Your scholarship may or may not be affected by this!" and a shove into the ballroom.
You wandered around until you spotted a group of guys, mid conversation about- unfortunately- you.
The first guy's word, some dude with a hairline that was already receding and a smug tilt to his eyes, is what caught you off guard.
Guest? Oh yeah, I've heard of them. I bet they're here to take the gold and pearls off the damn wall for a quick buck. Probably had a sad little sob story, or gave some really good-
You stopped listening after the first five words. It was disgusting how much you've heard the same things ushered at your behalf, just because you were given lesser cards.
You suspected that the Tamaki person wasn't in that group of boys, so you moved on.
Or at least you tried to.
